FOTD: Solar Field Smokey Eyes

This weekend I got to play with my Solar Bits from the M.A.C. Solar Field collection, they apply so beautifully! I must say that while I love the pigmentation of the Solar Bits way better than that of M.A.C. pigments, for the lesser experienced they may take a little practice in application as they can easily become very messy. Even though they are fun to crush, I recommend applying this before any type of foundation that way you can easily wipe away any stray particles that can fall on your face. In addition, to achieve the true color of the Solar Bits, I recommend that they are applied wet with a mixing medium. Applying them dry will only result in a sheer sparkle. Below is the tutorial. I had more full face images but right now I just unloaded about 300 pics from my camera and now have no clue where I saved them...sorry! Feel free to leave questions in the comment section if you have any. Next tutorial will be using my Port Red lipstick from the Naughty Nauticals along with the Comet Blue Dazzleglass (FINALLY!).

I'm a newbie on your blog but I just read your bio and noticed you mentioned you attend Fordham. I am a Fordham alum!!! I just thought that was cool.

Great blog by the way. I don't use a lot of make-up (addicted to BareMinerals for the natural look and feel) but I like reading about different products.

Take care.
